Meta Platforms intensifies its artificial intelligence strategy with the launch of a dedicated AI assistant app, mirroring moves by tech rivals Google and OpenAI. The rebranded Meta AI app replaces Meta View on iOS and Android, joining the company’s ecosystem alongside Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

The new application integrates with Meta’s AI eyewear hardware while absorbing functionality from its predecessor. Enhanced personalization leverages user data from Facebook and Instagram accounts to deliver contextual responses. Existing device settings and media captured through Meta’s glasses remain accessible in the updated interface.
